Game Results for Sunday September 22
The Orillia Renegades brought the excitement to the ice for the third time of the 2019/2020. 

 

The night started with the high flying ladies of tier 1.  In the first game the undefeated Sunshine Superwash & His and Hers Renovations took on Orkney Oasis.  Orkney Oasis held their own for most of the game but the Sunshine Superwash/His and Hers Renovations was a force to be reckoned with on this night with the 5-1 win.  Leading the winning team points was Megan Allore with 2 goals and 1 assist, and Amy Duchemin with 1 goal and 1 assist.  Angela Paylor had 3 assists, Nat Rivard with 2 goals, Diana Moczkodan & Julie Thurston each with 2 assists. 

 

Game 2 saw a battle of wits with The Friendly Fermentations taking on the Orillia Legion.  This nail biter of a game ended with in a 2-2 tie when Orillia Legion scored in the last two minutes of the third period to tie the game.  Goals for Friendly Fermentations went  to Mel Rahn-Calhoun and Christina Steele, assist by Rachel Comstock, Mel Rahn-Calhoun, Ronda Hales and Lisa Paquette. Orillia Legion goals scored by Danielle Jeffries and Kara Hawkins.  Assists went to Jennika Dunlop, Carly Payne, Brianna Shug and Megan Lewis.

 

The final game in the Tier 1 division saw that the Erin Watson Law defeated Geneva Event Centre with a game winning goal by Leah Lawson with a minute left in the third period.  Other goals by Geneva Event Centre were scored by Shyanne Sedore with a goal and an assist, as well Sarah Crowther tallying one. Assists went to Carissa Northcott, Mikayla Rae, and Leah Lawson with a pair.  Erin Watson Law goals were scored by Jamie Wainmain and Steph Truax.  Assists went to Morgan Hubley and Molly McFarlane each with a pair.

 

The mighty ladies of Tier 2 ended the night with back to game action where the Tier 2 goalies stepped it up to save the day!  Goalies sponsor The Northern Joinery would have been a proud supporter.

 

In the first game the Pennzoil 10 Minute Oil Change/I.G. Wealth Management slightly edged the ladies of Giant Tiger 2-1.  Pennzoil 10 Minute Oil Change/ I.G. Wealth Management goals went to Tiffany McFarland and Brittany Lowry.  Assists went to Cathy Norman and Susan Predum.  The Giant Tiger loan goal was scored by Paula Smith assisted by Lorraine Ayerst.

 

In the second Tier 2 match  Home Hardware battled for the win against the Lake Country Animal Hospital/shopremedium.com fighters 3-1. The Home Hardware goals were scored by Linda Moorhouse, Sandra Wilde and Amy Angus. Assists went to Tina Lesk, Devanne Thompson and Gailyn Scott.  Lake Country Animal Hospital/Shopremedium.com Goal was scored by Sarah Taher assisted by Jo Matte.  Special shout out to the goalies; Val Burns for stepping in the pipes for the second game and Anne Dockendorff for trying out goal for the first time ever!

 

The final game of the night was a fun spirited game between Orillia Sports Medicine/Sharp Image Salon and Spa taking on the Kahuna Surf shop.  This game went back and forth all night with the final score ending in a 3-3 tie.  The hat-trick of the night goes to Kahuna Surf shop’s Hannah Epstein with assists by Jill Garrod, Brenda Lucas, Jen Woolhouse and Angie Walsh.  Orillia Sports Medicine/Sharp Image Salon and Spa goals scored by Devanne Thompson with a goal and assist, Carol Walker and Pam Dooley.  Assists went to Jo Matte, and Amy Trumble.
